A 22 Day adventure to really discover Egypt...
DAY 01
Escape to Cairo. At arrival on the airport you are welcomed
by one of our professional staff. We'll help you through customs and
on to your hotel.

DAY 02
Full-day excursion to: - The Pyramid of Saqqara,
the sepulchre monument of king Djoser which was built in the third dynasty,
the alabaster Sphinx, and limestones colossus of Ramses II in Memphis.
In the afternoon we'll visit the three pyramids of Giza.

DAY 03
Full-day excursion to three places: The Egyptian
museum, with the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures,
the Alabasters Mosque of Mohamed Ali, which was completed in 1857, and
the bazaar of Khan ell Khalili with its winding alleyways and shops
selling everything you can possibly imagine: carpets, spices, ivory,
gold, silver, brass, jewelery, foods and all sorts of handcrafted goods.
The air is filled with an exotic fragrance of tobacco mixed with spices
and mysterious oriental perfume. In the evening we'll take the first-class
night train to Aswan.

DAY 04
In the morning we'll arrive in Aswan, where one of our
representatives will escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is
free for exploring Aswan. You may choose to visit the island or explore
the two rock temples of Abu Simbel with an optional excursion. The large
temple of Harrises II was dedicated to Re-Har-Akhte. The four collossal
statues of Ramses II greet the rising sun, and the ceilings and walls
are covered with superb reliefs. The smaller temple, is dedicated to
Hathour, the god of love.

DAY 05
Today you cross the Nile with felucca for a visit to
Elefantine island,and the mausoleum of Agha Khan.

DAY 06
Today sees a visit to the Aswan Dam, 7 km south of the
old dam built in 1902. You'll also see the unfinished obelisk, 42 meters
long, 4 meters wide.

DAY 07 : DAY 10
On day 7 you'll set sail on an unforgettable felucca
trip down the Nile. Along the way, we'll stop at Kom-Ombo and Edfu Temples,
among the most beautiful sites in all of Egypt. We'll also stop in Esna.
You'll probably want a light sleeping bag or blankets on this trip,
as we'll be sleeping under the stars on the deck of our sailboat. Expect
primitive style camping, but lots of fun, on board. During the trip
all excursions are included.

DAY 11
You'll be met in Esna by one of our representatives
for a bus ride to Luxor. Here you'll visit the renowned temples of Luxor
and Karnak. Overnight in Luxor - hotel.
DAY 12
After breakfast, you'll cross the Niile for a visit to the Valley of
the Kings. The afternoon includes stops in the Valley of the Queens
and at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the colossuses of Memnon,
the 18 meter high, sitting sculptures of Amenhotep III.

DAY 13
Today are you free to explore Luxor after breakfast
in the hotel. In the evening you may choose to see the optional sound
and light show. One of our staff members will be happy to help you make
your plans.

DAY 14
We depart Luxor by bus and head towards the Red Sea
resort of Hurgada to the red sea, where you canl sunbathe, swim, dive
or fish in the beautiful waters. If you are interested, you may choose
the option of hiring a fully equipped fishing boat or renting diving
gear and taking lessons. Don't forget your license!

DAY 15 : DAY 18
Stay in Hurgada. You may choose to visit the Red Sea
museum or rent a small boat and explore the dozens of small islands
off the coast. Glass bottom boats let you explore the marine life without
getting wet!

DAY 19
After breakfast, fly to Cairo. The rest of the day is
free.

DAY 20
Today are you free. You may choose to do some shopping
at the Khan el Khalili bazars.

DAY 21
Another free day in Cairo. Why not take an optional
excursion to the el Fayoum. El Fayoum is built around the Bahr Youssef,
a tiny branch of the Nile, which ends in in the Qarounmeer. This scenic
village is famous for its water wheels, which irrigate the fields.

DAY 22
Today you'll bid farewell to Egypt. After breakfast
one of our representatives will take you to the airport for your outbound
flight.
