Have the time of your life uncovering the secrets and stories behind one of the oldest civilization on earth by visiting the timeless city of Cairo, the biggest city in Africa and the middle east then fly south to Luxor, the historical city which contains one third of the worlds monuments where you will embark a Nile cruise to start sailing through history to explore the riverside temples between Luxor and Aswan. These 3 Nile cities reflect most faces of Egypt. Cairo with its gleaming skyscrapers, heady bazaars, Islamic monuments and its toes tickled by the pyramids of Giza and the desert. Luxor with its extraordinary wealth of age old temples and breathtaking tombs and Aswan, the southern gate of Egypt to Nubian monuments and Africa.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Welcome to, Egypt (Around the Clock)
Our representative will meet andassist you at Cairo International Airport, and then transfer to the hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle, Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo Day Tour (Giza Pyramids – Egyptian Museum)
After breakfast at hotel, you will start your Tour in Cairo visiting Pyramids of Giza, built by generations of father , son and grandson who belong to the fourth dynasty , the only survivor of the seven wonders of ancient world and the oldest tourist attraction on earth . Continue across the plateau to panorama area where you can have a photo of the three pyramids in one straight line rising from the sands, with Cairo skyline in the background. Then move on to the Sphinx, carved from the natural bedrock at the end of the causeway. It is considered the enigmatic symbol of Egypt for thousands of years which stand proudly protecting the royal necropolis behind him and facing the east to worship god Amon at sunrise. There is also an additional visit to the Solar Boat Museum housing the remarkably well preserved funerary boat of Khufu.
Next stop will be at the Egyptian Museum with so much to see and marvel at, more than 120 thousand artifacts are housed in the Egyptian museum narrating the long history of ancient Egypt including Mummies (human and animal), sarcophagi, statuary, gold, stories of the pharaohs and gods, and so much more. You need 6 month to take it all in.with an optional visit the Mummy room.Lunch at a good quality local restaurant, vegetarian food available on request.
Move on to Coptic Cairo, Old Cairo, the heart land of Egypt’s Christian community a haven of peace and rich in history where the holy family take shelter during their 4 year stay in Egypt and you will visit also Ben Ezra Jewish Synagogue supposed to mark the place where the pharaoh’s daughter found Moses in the reeds .
Then you will stop at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you will be transported back in time to an old Arab souk and Put your haggling skills to the test when buying statuettes, spices, souvenirs, silver jewellery, t-shirts, galabiyyas, belly dancing costumes Then transfer back to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Fly Cairo to Luxor – Nile Cruise Tour
After breakfast, check out from Cairo hotel, and then transfer to Cairo International Airport for a flight to Luxor an Egyptian treasure house of countless wealth
Upon arrival at Luxor, you will visit Karnak Temple, This is one of those attractions that exceeds expectations. Photos don’t do the huge temple pillars justice, nor do they prepare you for the incredible obelisk, The second most visited place in Egypt after the pyramids of Giza, and everything is on a gigantic scale. Be ready to lose yourself in the forest of 134 towering papyrus shaped stone columns. The gigantic temple of Karnak will make you do nothing but to stand and stare at the dizzying spectacle.
Then you’ll be moved to Luxor Temple fronted by an avenue of sphinxes that ran all the way to karnak temple 3 KM to the north, its enormous facade is decorated with military scenes representing the battle of Kadesh against the Hittites. Dinner will be on board the Nile Cruise and overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions
After breakfast on board the Nile Cruise the pharaohs selected this isolated and remote ravine to be their final resting place to keep their tombs out of sight and protect them against tomb robbery. There are 62 tombs. Each tomb has a number that represents the order in which it was discovered. The tombs are decorated with colorful paintings and religious scenes. You can visit 3 of them (the Tomb of Tutankhamen is an extra cost). Visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut with its unique design – the only temple in Egypt built in terrace formation into the cliff face. The scenes within the temple recites the tale of the divine birth of a female pharaoh – the first of its kind, along with the first commercial trading expedition to the ancient land of Punt (today’s Somalia) to exchange goods and bring incense of good quality used during the religious rituals inside the temples . Then visit the two colossal statues of Memnon. They were a part of a compete temple. The rest of the temple disappeared because of Nile inundation
After lunch, you the cruise Ship will start sailing to Edfu.Overnight on board Nile Cruise.

Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

Upon arrival at Edfu, visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to falcon-headed god Horus. The temple is the most completely preserved cult temple in Egypt, built on a large scale. It is a wonderful structure full of beauty, scenes, hieroglyphic inscriptions and its amazing columns and drawings will make you wonder how the ancient Egyptians managed to do all this with such degree of accuracy and perfection considering the simple manual tools they had at that time. Then sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit Kom Ombo, . It is an Egyptian temple but with Greek touch as the influence of the Greek art is clear on the columns and scenes of the temple. Although much of the temple had been destroyed because of an earthquake, it has very important scenes like reliefs of medical tools ranging from scissors to bandages, as well as forceps, pliers and surgical knives. Most of which look the same in shape as we use today in modern medical practice and the calendar inscribed on the wall showed figures of days, weeks and months in a season. There are 3 seasons in a year and all added up to 360 days in a year. Close to our present calendar. Then sail to Aswan, dinner and Overnight in Kom Ombo.

Day 6: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours
After breakfast, enjoy a day to the best landmarks in Aswan starting by the High Dam built to provide Egypt with power supply and regulate the level of Nile waters around the year so that it has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt.
Then move on to Philae Temple, dedicated to goddesses Isis and Hathor. The massive temple was dismantled, removed stone by stone as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project and then relocated to nearby Agilkia Island 20 m higher which was even landscaped to resemble the island of Philae.
Then visit the unfinished obelisk, located in one of the granite quarry of Aswan city which was a main source of granite in ancient Egypt. This massive obelisk was left unfinished because some cracks appeared on its surface during its construction. Dinner and overnight on board the Nile Cruise.

Day 7: Fly Aswan to Cairo
Breakfast on board the Cruise Ship, and then disembark. Then transfer to Aswan Airport for a domestic flight to Cairo.
Upon arrival at Cairo, transfer to your hotel in Cairo and overnight.

Day 8: Cairo – Fly Back Home
Breakfast will be served at your hotel in Cairo. Then transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
